By the end of the first half of 2025, the emirate will have more than 1,270 charging points serving over 40,600 electric vehicles.
The CEO of DEWA, Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, announced support for private investment in green mobility through a new licensing system. This aligns with the Clean Energy Strategy and the goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions.
The charging network includes ultra-fast and wall-mounted stations, and by March 2025, it is planned to expand to 1,000 stations. The UAE aims to increase the share of electric vehicles to 50% by 2050.
